How to Choose The Right Keywords for SEO
Choosing the best keywords for SEO is an art and takes practice to really figure out what works and what doesn't
Most bloggers and website owners just start randomly adding articles & pages that have a zero chance of ranking because their domain authority is too low.
Here's how I pick my keywords for SEO to rank my pages high in Google search. I sometimes get page 1 Google rankings in less than 24 hours!
How to Pick Keywords for SEO
- Be Super Specific: You can't rank for generic high competition search terms if you're a brand new website or lack a high domain authority. Get specific with your keyword research and target a specific problem or need. For example, target “best noise cancelling headphones for ADHD” not “best headphones”. Super specific keywords get less overall traffic but convert better.
- Use Google Autocomplete: Google autocomplete is a tool that Google shows whenever you start typing in a search within Google's search bar. I use it often to see exactly what people are searching for.
- Join Subreddits: Reddit is a goldmine for picking keywords for SEO. In fact, I got the idea for this blog post from this reddit post on the r/Blogging subreddit. You can find keywords on Reddit and plug them into Google Autocomplete to get more keywords ideas.
